How
do I view Images on the Web?
Not all, in fact, not many monitors are calibrated
to professional color standards. The image views
presented on your monitors may vary from the actual
production print. It is not possible to represent
all the details and color fidelity available in
the actual print on a screen. The finished print
will be far superior to any electronic screen
view.

Can
you tell me more about the archival quality of
your prints?
The Archival Process
Each
print produced for Perrin Photographic Art is
an achievement in Archival quality. Recent advancements
in print technology have established methods that
eliminate the toxic chemical heritage of conventional
photographic materials. The result is not only
superior fade resistance and tonal quality, but
also is environmentally responsible. Prints can
be displayed with the knowledge the the production
process is environmentally sound.
Fade Resistance
We all have concerns with ultra violet (UV)
light from the sun. The sun's powerful rays can
damage our skin and fade any coloured object.
It makes sense to display prints away from direct
sunlight and use fade resistant materials where
possible. Most prints are supplied with protective
glass which absorbs UV light and in addition,
protects the print from abrupt changes in humidity.
All of these measures combined with our print
process will ensure that your displayed prints
will last for many years.
Tonal Quality
Through the use of high resolution digital scanning,
the images are printed to their full potential
with amazing color fidelity and brilliance. Similar
digital techniques are used for our black and
white prints. The result is prints with greater
dynamic range than traditional darkroom prints.
Subtle tones are rendered that were impossible
to achieve prior to this process. But the process
is about more than new techniques. Through the
use of sophisticated digital scans and software
controls, the resulting images display minute
details with greater accuracy and repeatability.
Environmental Concerns
Traditional photographic materials are disappearing
for a variety of reasons, including their negative
impact on the environment. The toxic heritage
of conventional photographic materials is now
effectively replaced by sound production methods
without hazardous darkroom chemicals.
Light Fast Quality
An additional advantage to our process is the
ability to print on a variety of papers and materials,
including canvas, and still retain fade resistant
properties. Although traditional photographs last
for decades, our process has tested fade resistance
to more than 100 years! Indeed, when properly
displayed, your prints will provide generations
of lasting enjoyment.
